Magnum''s MPB16 Power Buggy is powered by an air-cooled Honda engine rated 13 hp. The engine drives an Eaton Char-Lynn hydraulic pump, which in turn powers two hydraulicpumps Eaton motors at the front wheels."When we designed this, we did a couple things on purpose," Roberts said. "We said we wanted a more stable unit than any that were available in the market. We decided that we needed a big rider platform for stability as well as hydraulicpumps four points of ground contact rather than the industry norm of only three points. A square shape is more stable than a triangular shape. We designed our units so that the handlebars do not intrude into the driver platform at full turn." NITROGEN GENERATORSNitrogen generators use either membrane or pressure-swing-adsorption (PSA) technologies. hydraulicpumps Membrane generators made by Balston, a division of Parker, produce up to 99.5% pure, commercially sterile nitrogen at dewpoints to -58[degrees]F from compressed air. They use proprietary membrane-separation technology to divide air into two streams: one 95 to 99.5% pure nitrogen, the other oxygen-rich with carbon hydraulicpumps dioxide and other trace hydraulicpumps gases.Compressed hydraulicpumps air flows through bundles of individual, hollow fibers made of semipermeable membranes. Each fiber has a perfectly circular hydraulicpumps cross section and a uniform bore through its center. Because the fibers are so small, a great many can be packed into a limited space, providing enough surface area to produce a relatively high-volume flow of nitrogen. "We''re not expanding just for the sake of expanding," explained Jim hydraulicpumps Roberts, marketing manager for Magnum, who noted that earlier this year, the company added a second shift for assembly because of the increase in demand.Continuing the enhancement of its mobile generator set product line that began in late 2002, Magnum has introduced a new range of gen-sets targeted toward construction, industrial and commercial standby applications. The new Magnum gen-sets hydraulicpumps cover an output range of 12 to 371 kW.
