The path of fuel flow through the heilpumpshydraulic system is pretty simple. Diesel fuel tanks normally are positioned above the engine''s heilpumpshydraulic fuel-injection pump to provide a positive pressure head to the fuel filter and transfer pump. This positioning assures easy priming of the system and assists fuel flow as the filters become more heilpumpshydraulic and heilpumpshydraulic restricted. The fuel is moved by the transfer pump (usually a diaphragm type). The transfer pump, normally with the help of gravity, pulls the fuel through a primary filter and pushes it through a secondary filter before the fuel reaches the main pump. When a camshaft lobe in the injection pump lowers the plunger, the transfer pump pushes fuel into the chamber heilpumpshydraulic and heilpumpshydraulic above the plunger in proportion to the position of the metering system. As the engine camshaft rotates, the injection pump plunger rises, pushing the fuel at high pressure out of the delivery valve, into the high-pressure fuel lines, and on to the injector nozzle. The high-pressure fuel inside the injector nozzle surrounds the valve (piston) and pushes up on the piston step against a predetermined spring setting. As the piston lifts, fuel leaves the nozzle tip and flows out the nozzle orifice into the pre-combustion chamber or cylinder. Thermal Structures is a completely captive manufacturing operation with facilities in California and New Mexico totaling over 140,000 sq.ft. The main plant in Corona, west of Los heilpumpshydraulic Angeles, heilpumpshydraulic has been specifically designed for a wide range of materials and product lines. The facility in New Mexico specializes in the fabrication of thermal insulation, sound insulation and decorative laminate interior products for mass transit uses. The company also operates an FAA-approved repair station for overhaul or repair of insulation blankets and shields, heilpumpshydraulic as well as composite engine components for the aerospace markets. In essence, the U-joint and hub assembly acts as a steerable axle, which is switched between skid-steer and all-wheel drive modes hydraulically through a Hydraforce pressure compensated steer valve controlled by the Phoenix International electronic controller. "One of the big challenges with a four-wheel steer vehicle or even a two-wheel steer vehicle is that typically you have one hydraulic function activating one of the wheels and then a tie rod going between to lock the wheels together so they''re mechanically linked together," said Krause. "With this vehicle, there just is no room to run a tie rod across, so we had to develop a hydraulic steer valve that would electronically hydraulically link the wheels and perform the tie rod function."
