The Medallion 92 series of two-stage reciprocating air compressors is part of a new line of compressors built for durability and trouble-free service. The compressor includes multi-finned cylinders for maximum cooling and a gasket-free integral cylinder to prevent blown head gaskets. The series includes electric models ranging from 5 to 30 hp and an 11-hp gas-driven model. Stanley Works of New Britain, Conn., introduces the CWC200ST electric powered air compressor. Designed with a unique control panel and stacked compressor tanks, the unit allows the user to remain gas standing when accessing the regulator, powered gauges, hydraulic controls and the air line port. The oil-lubricated 2.0 HP compressor is suited for pro applications, and the 4.5 gallon tank capacity can run up to four tools at one time. The unit weighs only 60 pounds. There is little doubt that more engine and powertrain components will be driven electrically pumps than mechanically gas in the future. The future holds more electronics powered in mobile equipment powertrains, not less. All of the engine packages include cooling systems from Diesel Radiator, Enginaire air cleaners and Nelson exhaust systems.
